Fullblood South Poll Cow 1406 is a 14-year-old bred cow.  She illustrates beautifully the longevity the South Poll breed is known for.  She continues to perform and many who come to visit the ranch guess her age to be much younger than it is!  We purchased her from Bent Tree in 2015 and she has calved consistently, producing several replacement heifers and three breeding-quality bulls while on our ranch.  She last calved on January 23, 2025 and is bred back to calve between January 12 and March 3, 2026.  Cow 1406 is a daughter of Broadway.  She weighed 1050 lbs on 10/6/2025.  We have retained the bull calf she weaned in September and put him in our bull growing program.  If he makes it all the way through our program, he will be the 4th bull that 1406 has produced for us.  1406's daughter from 2018 is also in this auction - Cow 1817 is Lot #6 - she has also produced a herd-sire bull for us.  Cow 1406 is a quality cow with strong genetics.  She was exposed to the following four Fullblood South Poll bulls: 1948 (Reg # 41719), 2121 Mack (Reg # 48261), 2103 Jackson Storm (Reg 48258) and 2307 (Reg # 53582).  

Cow 1406 is exclusively grass-fed, eating grasses such as coastal bermuda and behia and cover crops along with hay in the-off season and quality minerals year-round.  She has been rotationally grazed, moving daily behind a single strand of hotwire.  She is BVD PI negative.
