Viewing of Animals Listed in this Auction

This is an online only auction.  Animals listed in this auction will be available for a preview on our ranch near Athens, Texas.  Please call 903-681-4211 or email info@hoofandhide.com to schedule a time.  Cattle will be in a pasture for viewing.  We recommend you wear appropriate footwear as you will be walking through pasture to view the animals.

Warning - Under Texas law (chapter 87, civil practice and remedies code), a farm animal professional or farm owner or lessee is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in farm animal activities, including an employee or independent contractor, resulting from the inherent risks of farm animal activities.

Transportation

All animals are located near Athens, Texas on our ranch. Transportation of livestock is the sole responsibility of the buyer.  All shipping of any kind shall be at buyer's responsibility and expense.  We are hosting a seminar the day following the auction.  Cattle will be ready for pickup following the seminar.  For information on the seminar or to register, please visit: https://www.hoofandhide.com/seminars.

Please contact us prior to bidding should you be unable to pickup the animal within 10 days or if you would need to make delivery arrangements.  

Should you be transporting livestock in a manner that requires federal and/or state inspections (e.g. crossing state lines), we will provide standard required health certificates.  Should additional tests, or documentation required for shipment, these shall be at buyer's expense.  We will coordinate with our veterinarian to get you any papers you require.

Submission of a bid is a binding offer to purchase livestock.

The individual with the highest winning bid will be responsible for contacting Hoof & Hide LLC at 903-681-4211 or info@hoofandhide.com to arrange for payment outside of this auction website.  A deposit of $500/animal is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction.  Upon our discretion, we may waive the deposit requirement if you have made arrangements to pick up the animal in the next few days.  If the deposit is not waived and is not paid, the cow/heifer will be offered to the next highest bidder.  Cattle will be available for pickup upon payment in full.  If the balance is not paid, the deposit is forfeited and the cow/heifer will be available for sale again or placed back into our herd.

In the event of malfunction by, or a power outage affecting, the auction host computer, it is Hoof & Hide LLC's sole discretion to continue or stop the sale during any disruptions or downtime.  Any lots already closed and not affected by the malfunction or outage will be considered sold.

As the buyer, it is your responsibility to ensure that your computer and internet service are in working order.  Hoof & Hide LLC does not take any responsibility should your equipment or service malfunction or have an outage that prevents you from placing anticipated bids.
