50% South Poll Cow 2322 is a 2 year old. She was born on our ranch in 2023. Cow 2322 had her first calf on May 22, 2025. Cow 2322 is a great-granddaughter of both Broadway and R416. Her mother (Cow 401) is an 11-year-old tiger-stripe from our original grass-fed herd prior to switching to South Poll cattle. Cow 401 is a lead cow and has never missed a calf, so she is still with us. Cow 2322 is very friendly. I'm having trouble getting pictures of her because she likes hanging out near me. Cow 2322 weighed 900 lbs. on Oct 6th, but still has some growing to do. She has not been exposed to a bull since calving and is ready for your bull. If you are homesteader looking to dip your toes into the world of raising cattle, this is an excellent way to start. She has a steer calf on her side and she has an excellent temperament.
Steer Calf 2553 was born on May 22th weighing 53 lbs. He weighed approximately 275 lbs on Oct 6th. He is a son of our bull 1948. You can see information on Bull 1948 by clicking here.
This pair is exclusively grass-fed, eating grasses such as coastal bermuda and behia and cover crops along with hay in the-off season and quality minerals year-round. They have been rotationally grazed, moving daily behind a single strand of hotwire. Both 2322 and 2553 have tested negative for BVD PI.
