This is a 3-in-1 meaning that she is a cow that is bred to calve back and also has a heifer calf on her side!  Bred 75% South Poll Cow 1821 is a 7-year-old cow.  She was born on our ranch in 2018.  Cow 1821 has never missed a calf.  She is a granddaughter of Romeo and a great-granddaughter of Chief and Dandy.  She weighed 1040 lbs. when we weighed her in September.  Our young bull Arthur (Ear Tag 2432 Reg # 67206) got out for a day and Cow 1821 came up bred when she wasn't exposed to anyone else, so we are pretty sure Arthur will be the sire of the calf.  Arthur is a 19-month-old bull we retained to run on our herd this next year.  He descends from Bubba Joe, Broadway, and Chief.  Based on when Arthur was out, Cow 1821 is due on or around April 24, 2026.  Please note that this cow is a more timid cow and prefers to be in a group.  She will not be happy in a homestead situation where she is the only cow or in a group of only two or three.  She is not a mean cow and you can tag her calf just fine, but she likes some distance between her and you and prefers to have cow friends around at all times.

Heifer Calf 2555 was born on May 30th weighing 45 lbs.  She has impressed us so far and at 100 days was already 260 lbs.  Her sire is our Herd Bull 1948.  You can see information on Bull 1948 by clicking here.

This pair is exclusively grass-fed, eating grasses such as coastal bermuda and behia and cover crops along with hay in the-off season and quality minerals year-round.  They have been rotationally grazed, moving daily behind a single strand of hotwire.
