Heifer 2503 is a Fullblood South Poll.  She is a red mott-faced heifer that was born on our ranch on December 30, 2024.  She is a virgin heifer and has not been exposed to a bull, but is ready to be bred.  She weighs approximately 615 lbs. on March 18, 2026.  Her dam is an 1100 lbs. cow and we expect Heifer 2503 to have a mature size of around 1000 lbs.  Heifer 2503 descends from Romeo and R416.  Her dam is a 13-year-old cow still in our herd that had the 12th calf born for us in this calving season.  Heifer 2503's sire is the well-known Bull 6400.  You can see a picture of 6400 and some of his grown daughters here.

Heifer 2503 is exclusively grass-fed, eating grasses such as coastal bermuda, behia, and cover crops along with hay in the-off season and quality minerals year round.  She has been rotationally grazed behind a single strand of hotwire.  She has tested negative for BVD PI.  If you have any questions about this lot or any lot in the sale, please reach out to us at 903-681-4211 or info@hoofandhide.com.
